Bachelor of Science (BSc) - Computer Science with a specialisation in Applied Computing

The Waikato Bachelor of Science equips you for a career that requires logical thinking, analytical talent, a curious mind and practical skills.

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Social Work is a valuable and necessary profession in our society, particularly as society grows increasingly complex. The Bachelor of Social Work is only offered in Tauranga.

Bachelor of Social Sciences (major in Psychology) (BSocSc)

The Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSocSc) looks at how people and society function and change. You can currently complete a BSocSc in Tauranga if you choose to major in Psychology.

Bachelor of Teaching (BTchg) (Early Childhood and Primary)

Bachelor of Tourism (BTour)

Diploma in Law

Many of our everyday actions are influenced by the legal system. The law provides a structure that helps society to operate. Flexible full-time and part-time study options allow you to accommodate work and family commitments, while studying for your new future. The Diploma in Law can be completed entirely in Tauranga.

Graduate Diploma of Teaching (secondary) (GradDipT)

This intensive one-year teacher education programme provides professional study and practical experience for those seeking rewarding careers in secondary teaching. The GradDipT can be completed entirely in Tauranga.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (PGDip(MgtSt))

Management experience essential - build on your existing skills to release your potential and increase your ability to effectively manage. This two-year Postgraduate Diploma is offered Tauranga on alternate Saturdays between February and November.

Graduate Certificates and Diplomas

Graduate certificates and graduate diplomas provide the opportunity to complete a specialised qualification that requires a relatively short period of study and can provide a pathway to future study.

Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design (BCGD)

The Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design combines highly creative design and visual communication papers with computer programming papers from the country's leading computer science department.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

Start your LLB in Tauranga by first enrolling in the Diploma in Law. On successful completion of the Diploma in Law, you are welcome to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and continue your studies at the Hamilton campus. The Diploma in Law papers can be credited towards the first and second years of the LLB programme. If you are intending to continue your law studies, we recommend that you also study some non-law papers in Tauranga and these can also be credited towards your first and second years' elective papers towards the LLB.

Bachelor of Sport and Leisure Studies (BSpLS)

With a Bachelor of Sport & Leisure Studies from Waikato, you can take your interest and turn it into a career. Our popular degree gives you the tools to understand and help develop one of New Zealand's most rapidly growing industries.
