Te Toka Māori Mentor Unit
Te Toka Māori Mentor Unit encompasses experienced university students or kaiawhina from different schools of study.
They are not lecturers, nor are they tutors. Instead they are fellow students who have "been there, done that" with a course and passed successfully.
They have a wealth of knowledge and tips to help you successfully navigate your academic journey.
The Māori Student Achievement Representatives are available to support all students at the University of Waikato, Tauranga. For more information, contact Layna Armstrong on layna@waikato.ac.nz
Māori Student Experience
Te Toka Māori Mentor Unit runs academic and cultural events throughout the year for Māori students including:- Faculty and School-specific events and activities around Matariki, te wiki o te reo and other kaupapa
