Borrowing Resources from the Library
You may borrow 25 items at any one time. One renewal per book is allowed.
Present your University of Waikato student ID card at either the Bongard or Windermere libraries to have your
details added to our library system.
Fines incurred on Polytechnic books should be paid directly to either Polytechnic library.
Online Databases
Online databases allow you to search for journal, magazine and newspaper articles on a particular topic.
The University of Waikato Library subscribes to a wide range of online
databases that can help you with your research.
Tutorials on these databases are offered at the Bongard Library.
Items Not Held by the University of Waikato Library
Books or journal articles not held by the University of Waikato Library may be requested
through the Library's Interloan and Document Delivery Service. Please see the Waikato Liaison Librarian for more details. Appointments for individual tutorials can also be made.
Use of the Hamilton Campus Library
University of Waikato at Tauranga students and staff are very welcome to visit the library in Hamilton in person to make
use of the library resources and electronic databases, and to discuss information needs with library staff. If you wish
to borrow books in person, you must have a valid student ID card that includes a photograph.
